Save Kentucky’s Hemlocks is working to prioritize areas in Kentucky that are too valuable to lose. Our highest priorities are then being separated by land owner including: state owned, privately owned and federally owned. As the HWA infestation spreads, these areas will change and become much larger. If you have an idea of a priority area not listed below, please contact us.

State Owned Land
• Mega Site One- Bell County: Kentucky Ridge State Forest, Pine Mountain State Resort Park, Pine Mountain State Park Nature Preserve
• Mega Site Two- Harlan County: Blanton Forest State Nature Preserve, Kentenia State Forest

• Mega Site Four- Bell & Harlan County: Shillalah Creek Wildlife Management Area, Martin’s Fork State Nature Preserve
